ARTS COUNCIL
PARK CITY & SUMMIT COUNTY

As one of the oldest Arts & Culture organizations in Summit County, we serve as the designated Local Arts Agency for Park City, North Summit, and South Summit/Kamas Valley.

Our mission is to serve our Arts & Culture community by driving creative programming, providing valuable resources, and cultivating connections. We envision a community where Arts & Culture is critical, where creatives thrive, and where all people connect through the arts.

what we do

Events & Programs

Art connects us. We produce annual events and programs that promote community building and bring people together though shared creative experiences such as the Latino Arts Festival, Art on the Trails, and the Summit Arts Market. Check them out here.

Public Art

We develop several public art projects each year to support creative placemaking countywide with the goal of enriching our community, cultivating cultural identity, and providing accessible art to inspire new ideas and instill community pride.

Advocacy & Planning

We are the only local nonprofit organization in with a sole mandate to advance art and culture countywide. We advocate for increased investment in Arts & Culture and execute cultural planning efforts to lay roadmaps for the future.

Cultural tourism

Promoting our robust local art sector is at the heart of that we do. We tell stories about local artists, cultural nonprofits, creative businesses, and events to drive visitors and residents to engage in a wide range of cultural activities offered throughout the County.

roundabout sculpture naming contest

Vote and help the Summit County Public Art Advisory Board name new public art sculptures coming to Summit County, UT this summer!

The Jeremy Ranch/Pinebrook Roundabouts will soon be home to new pieces of public art, and we're asking the community to help us choose names for these iconic new characters! After a robust selection process, community engagement, and public input, artists Don Kennell and Lisa Adler of DKLA Design were selected to create two monumental animal sculptures of a moose and a sandhill crane with colts—animals native to Summit County—that will be installed in the roundabouts this Summer. Each sculpture is around 25 feet tall and weighs close to 8,000 pounds—much bigger than a real moose or crane, and easier for everyone to see from a distance!

Local students suggested many potential names for the moose and sandhill crane, but we need YOUR help to choose the final name for each animal sculpture! Help us welcome our new artful neighbors by voting for your favorite name for each sculpture.

Please cast your vote by July 5, 2025.

Physical ballot boxes will be placed at the Kimball Junction, Kamas, and Coalville Libraries, as well as at the Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter.
